Billy Joins Sports Bean Team and Scores First Win for Wilier

The Hell of the East was won by Sports Bean- Wilier’s Billy Whenman. The mountain biking dynamo that’s equally at home on the road scored a memorable first win for the road team – equalling the feat of Wilier’s own Colin Bath who won the very first Hell of the East back when Noah was a boy. It’s Grim UP North! (Great Result for Race Team)

The Easter Four Day event in Northumberland was a trip to the frozen north for the Sports Bean Wilier team and the weather was so bad one day’s racing was abandoned. But it was a great result for the team with themn taking the overall team prize and getting two riders in the top five. Here’s Clive Richardson’s report. (more…)
