Police Halt Thruxton Race – Marcin’s Progress Arrested!
The Boys in Blue scuppered Sports Bean Wilier’s chance of glory in Thruxton at the weekend when they cancelled a premier calendar outing half way through the race! Hampshire police revoked the event’s race licence because they felt some riders had been crossing into the oncoming carriageway when overtaking. Wonders will never cease. SB-W’s Five In Top Ten Finish
After two wins out of two in the season curtain-raisers Sports Bean Wilier went into the Jock Wadley Memorial Race in Essex with high hopes for another victory. Marcin Gets Season off to a Flyer
Polish wunderkind Marcin Bialoblocki took the top honours for Sport Beans Wilier in the annual Severn Bridge Road Race organised by the Bristol Road Club as a curtain raiser to the premier season. After 66 miles and ten laps of hard slog in the Gloucestershire sunshine the field of 70 riders was ground down by the long-legged Pole.
