Happy Customers Rock ……….Etap Caledonian
Naomi and I were both trying to sum up how we felt about our bikes – we’ve both ridden Giants for the last 10 years and have been completely blown away by how amazing the Wiliers are to ride, the difference is night and day……..this might sound mad but seriously, it’s as if the bikes themselves are screaming out AC/DC music when you ride them – they simply make you want to go faster!
My time (Eric Strickland) was 3 hours 52 minutes – 184th overall.
Naomi’s time (Naomi Strickland) was 4 hours 44 minutes 1840th overall (haven’t worked out what she did in terms of ladies category).

Le Cycle award Wilier for the second year in a row.
Imperiale is Vélo de l’Année 2010
A Wilier Triestina has been awarded with the first prize for the second year in a row
The Vélo de l’Année (“bicycle of the year”) is a Wilier Triestina again. Last year the renown French magazine Le Cycle awarded Cento1 as the best bike of the year; the same prize has been won in 2010 by Imperiale, the “bike designed by the wind”.
In March Le Cycle published 35 bikes of the most famous brands in the world and asked its readers to choose their favourites. A qualified jury made a further selection among the five finalists on extensive road tests.
Wilier Triestina took part in the “race” with Imperiale, that proved to be the best 2010 bike.
In the carbon monocoque frame of Imperiale the ombination of the right tubing shapes and directional carbon fiber layup orientations make it possible to reduce fronta area, effectively direct airflow and ensure optimal lateral rigidity. The reinforced construction at strategic points along the Imperiale’s tubing, fork and rear triangle increase the frame stiffness while reducing weight.
