The seventh annual Braveheart Charity ride in Kilmarnock raised £40,000 for good causes.
Wilier were there in the shape of Colin Bath and Alan Rogan who spent a busy day showing the 500 riders what the Wilier brand was all about.
Colin said: “This was unlike any other demo I have ever done. We were on our feet talking about the brand all day long while other stalls were empty – Wilier just stands out from the rest.”
There was a Wilier track top in the draw in the hall and the prizes were handed out by the super star Sean Kelly from Ireland – the Wilier top was the 1st prize to go.
On Saturday night was the Brave Heart charity cycle top auction there was a top sold of every brand and one of the tops sold for £2,500.00.
Colin added: “Alan did a great job on Saturday with framing the Ballan world champ top and it sold for £600.00 and stood out well.”
It may be a long way to go for our intrepid Essex man, but Scotland calls again next year for more rides and demos.
